Our First Date

Connor and I had a really fun first date.  We went out August 15, 2009.  Connor picked me up and we went to play miniature golf at the Swan Lakes Golf Course.  We both sucked and both scored 69, which was way over par.  After that we went to Corbin's Grill and we had dinner.  That was fun and I could tell that there was something different because I had been on dates with guys that I had felt really uncomfortable around, but with Connor I didn't feel that way at all.  I felt very comfortable and very natural.  It was nice.

After dinner he started to drive me home.  It was only about 9:30.  I remember thinking that I didn't want the night to end but I didn't say anything about it.  Then all of a sudden Connor made a u-turn.  I was confused.  He said that it was early and since I liked movies so much (one of the topics that came up during dinner), maybe we could go see a movie.  So we went to see the new Harry Potter movie.

Overall, it was a really good first date.  At the end of the night he walked me to the door.  There wasn't any kissing just yet.....but it was a very good night.

How we met (according to Jenna)

Connor and I met in the beginning of July 2009.  I had recently returned from my mission, and decided that I wanted to go on the ward river rafting trip.  Connor was on the activities committee and so I went up to him and another girl in our ward and asked for a paper that I needed to register for the trip.  Then I asked to borrow a pen and Connor gave me one to use.  When I looked at him I thought, "Hey, he's cute.  Maybe I could date him."  But then I quickly dismissed the thought and went to fill out the paper.  When I finished the paper, I went to give it back to the girl, but she wasn't there so I gave it to Connor.  We talked for about two seconds, I returned the pen, and I left.  At this point I didn't even know his name.

Not too long after, I received a friend request on facebook from this guy named Connor David Griffith.  I didn't know who it was, so I sent him a message asking him if I knew him.  Then after checking out his facebook page I realized that it was the cute guy from my ward.  Connor wrote me back and told me who he was, and we started chatting and writing back and forth.   After about 2 weeks he finally asked me out, which I was obviously thrilled about!
