House breaking has proven to be a difficult task. It's getting better, though. I am kennel training too. He whines a little when I put him in, but he sleeps in it all night long. Once we can trust him to not pee on our carpet anymore we will let him sleep wherever.
There have been many times when I have seriously considered selling him. (Especially after I stepped in his poo on my way back to bed one morning. I had just taken him outside.)
The poor puppy is so cute, and a little too crazy for his own good.
One day he was standing on the second step when I picked up a toy. He leapt into the air, missed the toy, and landed head first on the tile. I picked him up and he was really dazed. He kept closing his eyes like he was falling asleep, and I was really afraid he had a concussion. But he was fine. He was running around the house again within minutes.
He has fallen off the couch multiple times. He was sleeping on his back, and adjusted. The next thing I knew he was on the floor. He looked up at me, confused about what had happened.
Today I was walking down the stairs. He started out behind me but somehow ended up in front of my left foot at just the right moment for me to kick him down the rest of the stairs. Poor dog. He landed on the tile (thankfully not head first), and he got up, looked at me, and wagged his tale. He scared me, though. My heart was racing.
He likes to chew on everything. I can't wait for him to get past that phase.
He is still very sweet, and a lot of fun. He loves to run after the toys that we throw. He loves to run around our little back yard (it's the perfect size for him). Sometimes he loves to cuddle. But mostly when I try to cuddle with him he tries to bite my hand.
Now if I can just get him to stop peeing on my carpet.
I put my leg on that side so he wouldn't roll off the couch again.
