Baby is the size of a honeydew

Look who got his diploma today!

Isn't he cute?

Happy Birthday to Me!

This year I decided I wanted to get pampered for my birthday.  So I did!

I started out with a prenatal massage.
Then I got my hair done.

Then Connor and I went out to dinner at Maddox.

Tomorrow I'm getting a pedicure!  And I'm making Connor get one with me.  I told him that it's what I want for my birthday, so he had to say yes.  He's not too thrilled about it, but I think he'll like it.  :)

sicko

Yesterday afternoon I was getting a sore throat.  I literally just had a cold, and couldn't believe I was getting one  again.  Is this what I get from spending one Sunday in Primary at church?

But then I got chills, and I knew I was getting a fever.  Every time I checked my temperature, it was getting higher.  It was only up to 99.4, but I took some Tylenol and that seemed to help.

I fell asleep around midnight, and woke up around 3am.  I was feeling nauseated, and I decided to take my temperature again.  It was 100.4.  A friend had told me that if it got above 100.2 I should be careful.  So, I thought about calling the on call doctor at the Tanner Clinic (where my OB is at), but then I decided to call Labor and Delivery at the hospital instead.  I figured they were already up.  :)

So, at about 3:15 I spoke to a very nice nurse who told me to take more tylenol, have a warm bath, and put a cold compress on my head/neck.  And then if the fever didn't break, then to call back.  All basic fever stuff, but I just wanted to play it safe.

By the way, Connor is the worlds deepest sleeper and didn't wake up for any of this.  How is he going to wake up for a baby?

Anyway,  I did everything as instructed, got out of the tub, and my temperature had dropped down to 99.1.  Much better!  I went back to bed, but didn't sleep very well.  Connor did wake up for a minute and I told him about my fever stuff.

I've been lazy all day today.  I took several naps and I am now fever free!  Thank goodness that whatever it was, it was only one of those 24 hour things.  I have plans to get pampered tomorrow that I didn't want to cancel.  :)

busiest. day. ever.

Today has been a long and busy day.

It started with a doctors appointment this morning.  Everything's great.  Baby-no-name is head down.  Hopefully he stays that way!

Then we came home and sold my car.  Yay!  We technically still have it.  But the couple who are buying it are going out of town and are going to come back and get it on Sunday.

Then, we bought a new car.  Double yay!  We just went to look, but looking turned into buying.  We bought a used Toyota RAV-4.  It's a 2009 with only about 22,500 miles on it.  We are really happy with it.  It definitely has enough room in the back seat for a car seat.  :)

After that, we came home for about an hour and relaxed a little before we headed to the hospital to take an Infant CPR class.  I saw online that they offer it, and I thought it would give me some peace of mind, which it did.  Hopefully we will never need to use anything that we learned today, but it's nice to know just in case.

Once the class was over we headed to Target and bought some food for dinner.  I really need to go grocery shopping.  Life has been so very busy lately, and recently I only have the energy for the bare minimum.  I was going to go last Saturday, but I felt really sick.  So we've been eating very simple meals all week.  Simple is good, though, right?

We headed home, made/ate dinner.  Then we were back out again.  My sister-in-law gave me a gift card to Old Navy, and since I'm having a baby shower on Saturday I thought it'd be nice to get a new shirt or maxi dress.  Well, we got there, and started looking for the maternity section and couldn't find it.  I asked an employee, and he told me they didn't have one there.  Seriously?  In Utah?  Whatev.  I looked at some shirts I liked, but they all looked too short to cover my bigger-by-the-day belly.  So, we left and went back to Target to return something, and I looked at their maternity clothes, but didn't find anything that I wanted.  Oh, well.

Afterwards we decided we needed some ice cream, so we went to Baskin Robins.  Now we are finally home.  My feet are swollen.  I'm tired.  I think I did too much today, but that's alright.  I will now take it easy for the rest of the week.  And maybe next week too.
