Zoo Lights

Last night we went to see the Zoo lights at the Hogle Zoo.  It was fun, but maybe not the best idea ever.

Matthew slept the whole way down, but woke up crying when we got there.  I tried feeding him in the car, but he didn't seem to want anything, so I put him in the carrier, which he usually just falls straight to sleep in.  Not this time.  He just screamed and screamed.  We went to the gift shop and into a family bathroom.  We were in there for about 30 minutes.  He just would not stop crying.  Finally he started to eat and calmed down.  He fell asleep about 5 minutes after we left the bathroom.

Then we went around.  There weren't too many animals to see, but we did get to see some.  We had a good time, and managed to snap a super quick photo before leaving.

We were there for about an hour. Matty seemed to stay pretty warm since we had him bundled up really good, but Connor and I were cold!  We were happy when we got into the car with the heat turned on.

Three Months

At 3 months:

Matthew smiles a lot

Has a cute little laugh

Is trying to sit up on his own

Loves to be read to

Loves to suck on my fingers, but still isn't too fond of binkies

And is just a lot of fun.

Merry Christmas!

Christmas was a lot of fun.  We woke up to see what Santa brought us, and to take some pictures.

He also brought Matthew a new swing (he almost fell out of the old one).  

I got Connor this shirt, which he was very excited about:

Gifts were exchanged, and we had a lot of fun.

Later that day we headed over to Connor's parents house for more fun, and a yummy brunch.  Matthew got some super cute outfits, and fun toys.

Then we headed over to Eric and Kari's, and exchanged gifts there.  It's always fun to watch Robin and Liam open gifts, and seeing the excitement on their faces.  We hung out with them for a little while, played some games, and headed back home.

Connor's Birthday

This is about 2 weeks late...

Connor's birthday was on the 8th.  We celebrated by going out to dinner and hanging out on Saturday.

Then on Sunday we had our families and a few friends over for cake and ice cream.  It was a lot of fun.  Most of what Connor got from his family was body spray/cologne/body wash.  Are they trying to hint at something? (Haha -- only joking)

On a side note, my computer seems to be having issues uploading photos to my blog.  I can't tell if it's the site, or the fact that my computer is old and the software is outdated.

Meeting Santa

On December 1st we went to our ward Christmas Party.  It was a lot of fun, and we were able to have Matthew meet Santa.  By the time we got through the long line, Matty was asleep, but it was a lot of fun just the same.
