Connor managed to stab himself in the leg with a scalpel from work (it was brand new, and yes he's up to date on his Tetanus Shot). I was watching TV and he had been cleaning out his desk (remember, we live above a mortuary). He came back up to the apartment and the first thing he said to me was "Don't be mad" and then told me what happened. The scalpel was supposed to lock, preventing him from stabbing himself in the leg, but it didn't. Anyway, I looked at it and thought that it might need stitches so we drove to the LDS Hospital ER.
They were actually pretty slow and we got in right away. They nurses had fun with him, teasing him for stabbing himself in the leg. The doctor came in and gave him 2 stitches. Connor did pretty well at first, and then after the first stitch went in he got really pale and said he felt like he was going to throw up. The doctor made him lean back in the chair, and told him to take lots of deep breaths. He was seriously white. His lips had no color to them. After a few minutes he was doing a lot better, and the doctor finished putting in the other stitch. She said we'd need to go back in about a week to get them taken out.
