Today's Tasks

In an effort to improve our apartment, I decided to paint a chest that I've had for years.  It used to be gold and today I painted it black.  It's not perfect, but it's better.  It could have used another coat of paint but I ran out.  Regardless, it's definitely an improvement!

It really doesn't look this bad.  I think the gold shines through more because of the flash.  Maybe one day I'll give it another coat.....

Also, today Connor finished his last final for the semester, so I decided to make him Pineapple Upside Down Cake as a treat for him.  This is the first time I've made Pineapple Upside Down Cake and it wasn't half bad if I do say so myself.  :-)  Connor definitely seemed to like it.

Our First Easter

Here are some pictures from our first Easter together.  We went and got Easter baskets together.  On Easter Sunday we went up to Connor's family's house for dinner, and we got home late and ended up getting our Easter baskets around 10pm.  Regardless, it was fun and memorable.

Honeymoon Fun!

For our Honeymoon, we went to San Diego and then to Anaheim.  It was so much fun!  We absolutely loved the hotel we stayed at in San Diego, The Grand del Mar.  It was by far the nicest hotel either of us have ever stayed in.  They gave us free chocolate covered strawberries and champagne, which we traded for sparkling cider, we had chocolates on our pillows, slippers, bath robes, and everything you could want. It was so so so nice.  We would go back in a heartbeat if we could afford it on our own!

After that, we went to Disneyland which was also really fun.  Connor hadn't been there since he was really young, and it had been a while since I had been there too.
