Disneyland! October 2014
In October 2014 we had the chance to go to Disneyland with Joe and Crystal and their family! It was a very last minute trip. Like, we decided we were going on Sunday. And then on Monday we went to Disneyland. Connor worked half a day Monday morning, and then we drove and drove until we got to our hotel in Anaheim at midnight. Then we spent 2 days at Disneyland and California Adventure, and then we drove home.
But it was so worth it!

Finally arrived at the hotel after a long day and night of driving.

Matthew Turned Two!
I'm back! With so much to catch up on!
Matthew turned 2 on September 28th! We had a Finding Nemo party and it was cute and fun. I made the cake with the help of Kari. I'm really happy with how it turned out.
We felt so grateful to everyone who came to Matthew's little party. We tried to keep things smaller for this birthday than for his first, and I think we mostly succeeded. Matthew had a blast. And now, several months later, all the toys are strewn about my house.

As always, Matthew was very spoiled (in the best way). He got a vacuum from our friends the Curtis', and he LOVED it. It far surpassed all his other gifts until...
The car was the gift from Connor and I. He went crazy over it. And then it was back to the vacuum (like father, like son).
Apparently we need to talk about not talking on the phone while driving.
Or texting.

Dylan's Blessing
On Sunday September 7, we had Dlyan's baby blessing. It was a beautiful day and Connor gave a beautiful blessing. There was one other baby blessed that day. Dylan slept through it, and then woke up very hungry right after sacrament, so I missed the rest of the meeting. The speaker in the mothers room doesn't work so I couldn't hear anything.
Anyway, like I said, the blessing was beautiful. I was a little bit bummed that no one from my family was there, but what can you do? My mission presidents wife was able to make it, which I loved. She held Dylan for a bit before he decided he was starving and needed food.
After church we went back to our house for lunch with family and friends. Matthew looooved all the attention he got. He's so funny and just loves to show off.
