Halfway to a year!

How did this kid get to be 6 months old already?!?

We had his 6 month appointment today. He weighed in at 19 lbs 15 ozs, and 28" long. Honestly, I think he weighs more, but he was wiggling so much that it was hard to get a good read on the scale.

5 Months!

Happy 5 months of life to our sweet, (not so) little boy!

These 5 months have flown by. Why didn't anyone tell me that life moves at double speed when you have a kid?

NBE

I almost forgot!  On Monday, Connor passed the sciences section of the National Board Exam.

There are 2 sections to the NBE: arts and sciences.  He passed the arts section on the first try.  The sciences section proved to be tricky for him.  He didn't give up, though.  He studied so hard and he passed!  I'm so proud of him.  And I started crying when he called to tell me.  It's such a relief, and a weight lifted off our shoulders.

Next week he plans to take the state licensing exam, and then he will be fully licensed.  Yay!

Cute Little Laugh

In case you were wondering...

Andy is still alive and kicking. He has so much energy. I'm not gonna lie, I am looking forward to him just wanting to be lazy all day long when he's older. I've been trying to play with him more, thinking it would tire him out. Nope. He just plays and plays.

There are 2 dogs in our neighborhood (who are significantly bigger than Andy), that Andy loves to bark at. He goes out and barks at them, and they bark back. I wonder if we got them together if Andy would be friendly or just scared. I don't know who the owners are, though. I feel bad for our neighbors with all the barking, but at least it's not only our dog. Hopefully they can't hear it. I can usually only hear the other dogs when I'm outside.

As much as he drives me crazy, he is a good dog.

Busy

I've been a terrible blogger lately. Life has been busy and fun. Matthew is so cute and surprises me on a daily basis with how fast he is learning and growing. Tomorrow he will be 5 months old. How crazy is that? These last 5 months have gone by really fast.

Some days we just can't keep socks on these cute feet. 

Teething is no fun.

All of a sudden, he is hooked on the binkey. He used to refuse it, now he can't live without it..

Tonight we fed him carrots for the first time. (I made them!) He thoroughly enjoyed them.

Anniversary!

Today we celebrated our 3rd anniversary!

We planned to go to dinner and a movie, but it ended up with just being dinner. Connor was on call last night and didn't get much sleep. So, Connor's parents came over to watch Matty (our first time leaving him with anyone), and we went to The Dodo for dinner. Yum! Apparently Tuesday is the day to go because you can get 2 desserts for the price of one.

We brought the huge one home.

We had fun hanging out together, and then we headed home. Matty was good for the grandparents, and was beyond tired when we got home. He's sleeping soundly now, as is Connor, who us starting to feel under the weather.
